Lenny Maier

By the way, did you know Lenny Maier rocks? She opened for me at Lydia's, in the sweet folds of home. She serenaded us all with her throaty vocals, then bought me a disgusting shooter that made me dislike her temporarily, as my stomach churned onstage. (She's playing on New Year's at the Yard and Flagon, Saskatoon. Maybe she'll buy you a gross shooter too. Maybe you should buy one for her.)

That was the night the band played, and oh did we play. I was beginning I would never want to play with a band again, the solo scene being so rewarding these days. Ah, but who can resist Jody G's bouncing dreds, Sam Mitchell's saucey flute, or Roy Sydiaha's rhythms? Love them. Can't wait until the next Saskatchewan tour in February 2005 for the band to reunite: you've heard of New York but this is Biggar. That's right, baby. Biggar, SK on February 19, 2005. Let me know if you're interested in joining the pilgrimmage.
